radKIDS: This unique program is designed to teach children to become empowered by replacing fear, confusion and panic of dangerous situations with confidence, personal safety skills and self esteem. Over the course of 3 days, children and their parents are taught about home, school and vehicle safety, avoiding predators, internet safety, uncomfortable touch and bullying prevention. Spring Break/Summer Break Camps: Give the kids an adventure of a lifetime next school break! Our camps are designed to be days filled with fun, learning, confidence building and new activities. Most include field trips to such places as the Children’s Museum or similar and are geared for school-aged children.
Handwriting Without Tears: Handwriting Without Tears® is a proven success in making legible and fluent handwriting an easy and automatic skill for all students. HWT uses fun, entertaining, and educationally sound instructional methods to teach handwriting to all students: pre-k through cursive. Offered at our Rehab Center by certified instructors.
Social Skills Camps: This camp is designed for children of all ages who have trouble relating to their peers. Enhances their ability to interact socially in an appropriate manner, builds confidence and self esteem.
Health and Fitness Camp: Appropriate for ages 5 – 10, this camp is designed to teach children how to incorporate physical activity into their everyday lives, make smarter decisions at mealtime and understand the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. Aimed to teach children fun and playful ways to keep active and enjoy nutritious foods.
Summer Reading Program: Emphasizes increased reading skills through phonological teaching with multi-sensory teaching through the LiPS program. The LiPS program successfully develops phoneme awareness–the ability to identify individual sounds and their order within words–for competence in reading, spelling, and speech.
Reading Readiness Program: Ideal for 3-4 year olds, this program assists pre-readers with letter recognition, phonics and other tools to help jump-start their reading skills and better prepare them for school.
Fast Forword: An innovative learning approach that utilizes computer software, Fast ForWord software develops and strengthens memory, attention, processing rate, and sequencing—the cognitive skills essential for learning and reading success.
Interactive Metranome: Improves motor planning and sequencing, rhythmicity and timing that often co-occur with Attention Deficit Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, language disorders, motor disorders and specific learning disorders involving reading, math and language.
Mommy and Me Classes: Perfect for moms and their infants ages birth to 12 months, our Mommy and Me classes help new moms feel secure in how to deal with all the surprises of a new child, including how to handle colic, fevers and other new parent concerns. This class also addresses ways to help your child achieve developmental milestones and appropriate mommy/child games and activities.
